About the event
Part of FIDE's official World Team Championships calendar, this is one of the most prestigious team competitions in chess. Over 300 players from 42 teams compete across rapid and blitz formats.
WR Chess participates with two lineups: the WR Chess team and the WR Chess-sponsored Chess United team.
Team format: 6–9 players per team. Each match is played on 6 boards and must include at least one female player and one recreational player (never reached 2000 ELO). Teams may include club members, federation members, or any chess players combined.
