About the event
The Bughouse Open Championship 2026 (WR Chess) is a one-day open bughouse event at the MICE Center in Quezon City, Philippines, on August 29, 2026, with a total prize fund of PHP 620,000.00.
Teams play a group stage in Groups A and B (elimination); the top 8 teams from Groups A and B advance to the knockout stage. The time control is 5+0. Special category prizes of P5,250.00 each are awarded to the top junior, youth, kiddie, senior, mixed, female, school and NCFP-affiliated club teams.
